On September 5, 2025, the Department of English - Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University organized a special daily assembly to felicitate the teachers of Teacher's Day. 

A few days before on September 2, ICT committee leaders  taught us how to make Google Form, how to connect Google Form to Google Sheet, and how to work with Autocrat to generate automatic certificates.

After that, all the students who have participated in this activity started uploading their videos, and September 5 was the last submission date. We were given 4 to 5 days to do marketing of our videos; this is also one of the parts of digital skills that we were taught through this activity.

In this detailed academic presentation on Oscar Wilde's short story "The Nightingale and the Rose", presenter Kruti Vyas breaks down the text from the Department of English at M.K. Bhavnagar University into a comprehensive analytical structure. The presentation begins with an overview of the author, Oscar Wilde (1854–1900), highlighting his background as an Irish poet and playwright, his education at Trinity College Dublin and Oxford, his famous literary works, and his association with the aestheticism movement centered on "art for art's sake." Moving into the narrative, Vyas analyzes the core characters: the romantic and self-sacrificing Nightingale who bleeds her heart into a thorn to create a red rose, the dramatic and lovesick Student who desires the flower to win over the professor's daughter, and the superficial Professor's Daughter who ultimately rejects the rose in favor of real jewels gifted by a chamberlain's nephew. Through these character dynamics, the presentation explores the story's heavy use of personification and symbolism, contrasting idealistic, pure love against cold logic and worldly possessions. Ultimately, the video concludes with a philosophical message and moral critique of a shallow, materialistic society that routinely overlooks genuine emotional sacrifice and artistic devotion in favor of wealth and superficial gain.
